In Memoriam

It is with great sadness that we inform the JAGS community of the death of JAGS alumna Phyllis White (née Bentley).

Phyllis was born on 11 September 1930 and died on 20 December 2018. She attended JAGS between 1937 and 1940.

In 1956 Phyllis travelled to Montreal, there she met her husband Roy White. They married in 1959 and moved to Toronto in 1967.

An avid golfer and a dedicated professional, Phyllis made significant contributions both on and off the green. Her achievements, including winning the Ladies Championship five years in a row, and her role as a Marker for the Canadian Open at Glen Abbey, demonstrated her talent for sports.

Beyond her accomplishments, Phyllis was known for her warmth, humor, and kindness. The entire JAGS community wishes to extend its deepest condolences to her friends and family.
