"I start each morning when I get out of bed with the words 'I am grateful' in Hebrew."

Lady Joanna Seldon died peacefully on 6 December 2016. Her husband, Sir Anthony Seldon, wrote on behalf of the family, ‘She had an incurable cancer and eventually she could no longer prevail against it. She bore frequent periods of intense illness with extraordinary dignity and courage. She was dearly loved by us all.’

Joanna was an established writer and poet. An obituary appeared in The Times on Friday 16 December 2016. You can find it, together with examples of her work, on her website:

We send our sincere condolences to Joanna’s family. A Memorial Service is to be held for family and friends, by invitation only. Contact details for the family are on her website.
