Remembering Sarah Corp

13 May 2016
In Memoriam

It is with great sadness that we announce that Sarah Corp, year of 1993, died on 10 May 2016. After studying history at Selwyn College, Cambridge, she spent nearly 20 years at Channel 4 news rising to the position of Senior Foreign News Producer.

We are proud of her as an alumna. One of three sisters, a talented musician and exceptional at all she did, Sarah was a true JAGS girl who enriched her relationship with the school through many orchestra and music productions. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

Touching words from Jon Snow, describe Sarah beautifully:
“Sarah Corp was beyond rare. No disrespect to the many others, she was the very finest foreign news producer I have ever worked with. But beyond that she was an all-round lovely person. She was funny, serious, and giftedly musical. She was one of those exceptional journalists for whom family was key… a wonderful husband in Charles, sweet and equally gifted sisters, and parents in John and Prue, from whom her access to classical music flowed. She died at 9.40am on 10 May at just 41 years of age. She never smoked, yet lung cancer still managed to claim her - but never her soul - that was steadfast to the end. I miss her, I will always miss her… and she knew, at the very end, that we had celebrated her wondrous production talents at the BAFTA Awards on Sunday.”
