Inspiring Futures: Inaugural 'Meet Our Alumnae & Parents Careers Fair'

The JAGS community came together in wonderful spirit on Wednesday 25 February 2026 for our first ever Meet Our Alumnae & Parents Careers Fair for Year 10 and Year 12 students.   Sixty JAGS alumnae and parents joined the occasion to share their experience across a wide range of professions.  From medicine, law, engineering and finance to the arts, technology, entrepreneurship and public service, the diversity of sectors represented ensured that every student could learn from and explore an array of professions.

Across the afternoon, over 200 students from Year 10 and Year 12 had the opportunity to circulate and gain invaluable insight from the guests.  The event started in Holst Hall where the Year 12 students worked the room in a realistic networking event setting.  We then moved to the Vaughan Williams Auditorium where the Year 10 students moved from stand to stand asking thoughtful questions and learning about different sectors.  The atmosphere was one of genuine curiosity and generous mentorship, with our guests giving time, advice and encouragement in abundance. Many students commented on how inspiring it was to hear directly from alumnae and parents working across such a wide range of fields, and how valuable the conversations were in helping them think about future pathways.

Our sincere thanks to every alumna and parent who volunteered their time, to staff who supported the event, and to the students whose enthusiasm made the afternoon such a success. It is a privilege to see the JAGS community come together in this way, strengthening connections and opening doors for the leaders, innovators and changemakers of tomorrow.

We look forward to welcoming even more of you to future networking and careers events. If you are interested in speaking at an event, offering work experience, job interview help or support with university admissions, we would be delighted to hear from you.  Please click here to complete our volunteering form.
