In the summer term, we were delighted to welcome JAGS alumnae Zenisha Peterkin (Class of 2019) and Francesca Mace Wilson (Class of 2012) along with JAGS parent Tina Maisonneuve as guest speakers to support our Junior School Careers Week. Each of them shared their experiences, insights and enthusiasm with pupils exploring the many possibilities that the future may hold.
Representing a wide range of professions and industries, they spoke about their career journeys, the subjects they enjoyed at school with Zenisha and Francesca sharing the different paths they took after leaving JAGS. Pupils were given a valuable opportunity to learn about the variety of careers available to them and the skills and qualities that can help them achieve their ambitions.
One of the highlights of the week was seeing pupils show great curiosity and engage so confidently with our speakers in asking thoughtful questions. The sessions encouraged curiosity, broadened horizons and helped pupils begin to understand that there is no single route to success.
The willingness of our alumnae to return to JAGS and share their time and expertise is a wonderful example of the strength of our alumnae community. By offering real-world perspectives and acting as inspiring role models, they helped bring learning to life and demonstrated the many ways a JAGS education can lead to fulfilling and impactful careers.
We are extremely grateful to all the alumnae who volunteer their time and give back to the school. Their generosity, enthusiasm and commitment to supporting the next generation of JAGS pupils makes a lasting impression, and we hope their involvement will inspire many future career aspirations.
