In collaboration with the JAGS Chinese Parents Community, we are delighted to invite you to join us for the Mid-Autumn Festival Tea and Mooncake Tasting Evening on Wednesday 23 September 2026 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at JAGS.
The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is one of the most cherished celebrations in Chinese culture. It symbolises family reunions, gratitude for the harvest, and hopes for good fortune and togetherness under the full moon. Sharing mooncakes—a traditional delicacy—is a key part of the celebration, representing unity and completeness.
This gathering is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy traditional Chinese tea, sample delicious mooncakes, and connect with other families. You are also very welcome to bring mooncakes to share if you wish!
For those who would like to purchase mooncakes, they are available seasonally (from now until early October) at these local favourites:
Chinatown Bakery, 7-9 Newport Pl, London WC2H 7JR
Loon Fung Supermarket, 42-44 Gerrard St, London W1D 5QG
SeeWoo, 18-20 Lisle St, London WC2H 7BA
Kiki & Miumiu Market, 141 Walworth Rd, London SE17 1RW
Tian Tian Market, 16-17 Canada Square, London E14 5AX
We look forward to sharing the joy of this special occasion with you.
