Join us for an evening of wine tasting with Jancis Robinson, one of the world’s leading experts on wine, to celebrate the publication of the ninth edition of The World Atlas of Wine.

You'll taste six different wines in total and Jancis will guide you through the tasting notes and history of each wine. Jancis will also address the topics of most vital interest to today's wine-growers and drinkers including the impact of climate change resulting in new wine-growing in the far north of Europe and the sustainability initiatives being explored globally.

Few wine books can be called classic, but the first edition of The World Atlas of Wine made publishing history when it appeared in 1971 and subsequent editions have ensured it remains the most authoritative, must-have wine reference work available. This ninth edition will bring readers, both old and new, up to date with the fascinating and rewarding world of wine.

With beautiful photography throughout, Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson, the world's most respected wine-writing duo, working with esteemed maps editor Julia Harding, have once again joined forces to create a classic that no wine lover can afford to be without.

A Village Books event in partnership with James Allen's Girls' School. With thanks to Dulwich Vintners for supplying the wine.

Standard ticket: £50. Please note: this is an 18+ only event.
